2022 Theme
With continued overwhelming community issues related to male survivors of trauma and violence, this year’s theme will focus on Creating Diverse Collaboration Through Mentorship. SCRIPT is bringing awareness by highlighting issues surrounding survivors of violence and trauma while providing resources from the community. Resources can be from existing programs, positional programs, or individuals volunteering their time; anything that builds a strong community of people dedicated to stopping violence and trauma. We all learn by example and mentoring others can develop strong foundations for individual and community success. Mentors exist in all parts of the community: law enforcement, social services, schools, clergy, family, friends, organizational members, and individuals with a mission. This year at SCRIPT, our goal is to facilitate a discussion regarding the issues we face as a community, as well as leading the path for change through mentorship. We plan to explore this topic by asking our presenters and community partners to facilitate conversations related to mentorship and social change on the community. With coordinated efforts, we can empower each other to be change agents through our actions and role modeling for others. We hope to encourage others to work together to make a difference in creating a diverse a path towards social equality and safety.
