Get ready for more laughs and lunacy as Screwball Sundays are back with another season of fast-talking antics, outrageous plot twists, and unforgettable characters from the golden age of Hollywood! This year’s lineup brings you classic screwball comedies that continue to delight and surprise, proving that comedy truly never goes out of style.
Each film screens on the BIG SCREEN in our Historic Camelot Theatre and includes live introductions and Film Q + A sessions with the Film Society of Screwball Comedy, plus special guest appearances from renowned authors and film scholars, including Molly Haskell, Scott Eyman, Steven C. Smith, Mark Vieira, David Kalat, and Dr. Olympia Kiriakou.

JUNE 1 | 3 PM | BOMBSHELL (1933)
In Bombshell, Jean Harlow stars as a Hollywood actress plagued by scandal and unwanted publicity, in a film that satirizes the very industry that made her a star. Directed by Victor Fleming, this fast-paced screwball comedy is often credited as one of the first of its kind. Harlow’s comedic timing and biting wit make Bombshell a standout in her career and a must-see for fans of classic Hollywood.
Guest Speaker + Book Signing | Mark Vieira
Mark Vieira is the author of 19 books on Hollywood history. His latest is Warner Bros: 100 Years of Storytelling.
Mr. Vieira is a filmmaker and creator of the documentary series DeMille is Hollywood. He has appeared in documentaries for TCM and the BBC and has lectured extensively on film history and glamour photography. Mr. Vieira is a career portrait photographer and a protégé of iconic photographer George Hurrell, which informs his understanding of the visual medium of classic Hollywood films.
