With his writing partner, five of his films have been released in the last five years, with their latest project “The Inheritance” releasing limited theatrical and VOD through Prime and iTunes on July 12th.
Chris is known for his tough love approach – his goal is to help you to become a better screenwriter, but with a brutal honesty that will set you on a rigid journey in your screenplay writing execution.

“Building the Perfect Screenplay”
In This class - Chris helps lay the groundwork for your screenplay in a live 2-hour workshop (which will be recorded to Zoom if you are unable to attend live). Character, Theme, Beat Sheet, and the Outline - all the elements you need to get started on your First Draft. You will also get one individual follow-up Zoom Feedback session with Chris after you have completed your Outline. $60
“Executing the First Draft”***
Ready to start that first draft? Chris will work with you as you create Act 1, Act 2, and Act 3 with a Zoom meeting for each Act (for a total of three individual meetings). These meeting usually run a minimum of thirty-minutes to an hour-and-a-half depending on the work you’ve done. $ 175

“Rewriting the Rewrite”***
Okay, you finished your screenplay, so it’s time for feedback. You’ll have three individual Zoom meetings. These meeting usually run a minimum of thirty-minutes to an hour-and-a- half depending on the work you’ve done. The first is for feedback on your current draft, the second one is for feedback on your rewrite, and the third and final meeting will be for feedbackonyourFinalRewrite. $125

Chris LaMont is an award-winning WGA screenwriter, who’s work with writing partner Joseph Russo has included the suspense-thriller The Au Pair Nightmare , and action-thriller Hard K*ll starring Bruce Willis, noir-drama The Locksmith starring Ryan Phillipe, Kate Bosworth and Ving Rhames, the horror-thriller film Soul Mates, and the Netflix-produced supernatural thriller The Inheritance.
He was a national finalist of the Final Draft Big Break contest, named as one of the Top New Screenwriters in Hollywood, is a Three-Time Blood List Winner and is represented by The Gersh Agency and managed by Fictional Entity.
He is the founder of the Phoenix Film Festival, the Phoenix Film Society, IFP – Phoenix (Independent Filmmaker Project), the Arizona Student Film Festival, the Arizona College Film Festival and the International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival.
He is also a Film Professor at Arizona State University in the Sidney Poitier New American Film School and wrote Great Comedy Films: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Funny Movies . He still reads comic books but calls them "graphic novels" so he can be cool.
