About this Event
Are you a lover of a good TV and of writing? Then you might be a budding screenwriter! In this interactive workshop, you'll learn the tricks of the trade. This workshop covers the tropes and conventions of the soap opera genre, how to use a free scriptwriting software and how to read screenplays.
Please bring your own fully charged lap top.
About the facilitator:
Grace Valerie-Lynette is an award-winning multidisciplinary writer, director, and producer. Her most recent musical podcast Twinemies debuted in 2021, was an Apple official New and Noteworthy podcast, and was nominated for 7 awards across 4 prestigious podcasting festivals, winning won ‘Excellence in Creative Audio’ at the CBAA awards and ‘Best Podcast’ at Sydney WebFest. Grace was a winner in the 2023 Young Creatives Awards for Filmmaking.
Ashfield Library is accessible by lift from ground level in Ashfield civic centre. The venue is accessible for people using wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
