Synopsis:
After surviving breast cancer, the filmmaker is asked to never talk about her experience and move on to forget it. She turns the camera on her own life, stepping into the unpredictable world of online dating with a quiet determination to find love, especially after surviving breast cancer.
As Teenaa films her encounters with men she meets on dating platforms, each interaction becomes a mirror—reflecting not only the hopes and contradictions of her suitors, but the deeply ingrained patriarchy and gender expectations that still govern relationships today.
From cafes in towns, to candid conversations with her traditional parents in Ajmer—the small, conservative town where she was raised—the film captures the emotional tension between personal freedom and cultural obligation. Vulnerable and powerfully honest, the film dares to ask: Can a woman be loved despite her scars, but because of her whole, unapologetic self?
More than a quest for romance, this is a battle for selfhood—a deeply personal story that speaks to a universal struggle.
