About this Event
Don't Miss a Screening of The Alabama Solution!
Join the Center on Race, Inequality, and the Law at NYU School of Law for a special in-person screening of The Alabama Solution documentary, a powerful and eye-opening documentary exposing the disturbing realities of Alabama’s Pr*son system.
Set inside America’s deadliest Pr*son system, ‘The Alabama Solution’ gives audiences a rare, unfiltered view of America’s carceral crisis that resonates far beyond the South.
Through investigative reporting that includes footage shot on contraband cell phones and insider accounts from former Pr*son officials and others, the film exposes shocking brutality and institutional corruption in a secretive system that has grown to consume a quarter of Alabama’s state budget.
The event will include a moderated conversation with the documentary's producer, Alex Duran, and a chance for the audience to participate in a Q&A.
Bring a colleague, a friend, or a community member, and join us for an impactful evening of storytelling and community. See you there!
