Iron Ladies is new a feature-length documentary celebrating solely the role of women during the 1984/85 Miners’ Strike across the UK, recording these narratives before they are gone. If you have time to read on, it would be much appreciated.
Over the course of the production there was filming in every mining county from Scotland down to Kent.
Iron Ladies is a unique and important film; a piece of work shining a spotlight on unsung heroes of the working-class movement whilst also acting as a tool for education and inspiration for activists of the future.
After the screening there will be a discussion with director Daniel Draper.
