Along the way, we meet Dianne Washington, whose husband is diagnosed with COVID-19, only weeks after she loses her son to the same virus. Meanwhile, protesters argue against wearing masks and declare this virus a hoax. Then, summer hits, cases surge, and these healthcare workers struggle with one of the worst coronavirus outbreaks in the nation.
This five-part documentary series spans April - October 2020. It is told through the lens of America’s changing landscape as states begin to open up, with no COVID-19 vaccine in sight.
