Sparked by Donald Trump's election, the Women's Protest March led by activist Linda Sarsour, and the Muslim ban, Sarsour convinces Father K, a Palestinian Lutheran Priest from Brooklyn to run for New York City Council to be the first priest and the first member to represent 40,000 Arab Americans. Thousands of first time voters turn out, and show the power of grassroots democracy. What they learn feeds a movement that on November 8th 2022, promises to grow even stronger. This film produced and directed by Ahmed Mansour captures every dramatic turn of this groundbreaking campaign, and has become the staple of Get Out the Vote campaigns before election day.
After the film, Linda Sarsour live and in person will share her experiences and discuss the lessons of the film with director Ahmed Mansour and make a rallying call to all caring citizens to Get Out The Vote for November 8th.
