Fogartyville, Church of the Trinity MCC and Project Pride present a free screening of “1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture."
The feature documentary, distributed by South Arts Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers, follows the story of researchers who trace the origins of the anti-gay movement in modern Christianity to a mistranslation of the Bible in 1946.
Their discovery of never-before-seen archives at Yale University unveil new revelations, and casts significant doubt on any biblical basis for LGBTQIA+ prejudice.
The screening will include a Q & A with producer Sharon "Rocky" Roggio moderated by Pastor Collis Laton of Church of the Trinity MCC.
