Join me, Tammy from Canadian Handywoman, for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn to understand how your screens and doors actually work. Designed by women, for women, this hands-on session is all about helping you understand the parts, movement, and maintenance behind common screen and entry doors. If you’ve ever fought with a sticky screen door, noticed a ripped screen, or wondered why your door suddenly doesn’t close properly anymore… this workshop is for you.
What you’ll learn:
▶️ The different parts of a typical screen and storm door (and what they do)
▶️ How screen mesh, spline, rollers, hinges, and closers work together
▶️ How to identify common screen and door problems before they get worse
▶️ What causes sticking, sagging, tearing, rattling, or poor closing
▶️ The tools used for basic repairs and tune-ups
▶️ How to safely remove and reinstall screen material
▶️ Simple adjustments and maintenance that can improve how your door functions
▶️ How to approach small repairs without frustration or forcing things
This isn’t a watch-and-learn kind of event — you’ll practice each step yourself in a supportive, no-pressure environment. No experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to learn.
