About this Event
On Saturday, July 6, Screen Out Loud returns on a happy note with the screening of QUAI D'ORSAY, a comedy by iconic French director Bertrand Tavernier.
Titled 'The French Minister' in English, the film is set in the corridors of the Foreign Ministry, satirising the intricacies of politics and public service bureaucracy while addressing serious issues including media representation.
When Arthur is recruited into the advisory team of the Foreign Affairs Minister, he discovers the flexibility of 'language' as he struggles to balance multiple moving pieces, and maintain his own sanity in a fast-paced environment. Each scene is equally humorous and relatable, as we imagine the consequences should anything go wrong.
QUAI D'ORSAY is the screen adaptation of the graphic novel by Christophe Blain and Abel Lanzac.
A good time is assured. ;) Come for the film; stay for the conversation.
