About this Event
Join Indiana Audubon member Savannah Bennett and retired National Park Service superintendent Paul Labovitz, for an afternoon all about owls, concluding with building your own screech owl box.
Meet at the Indiana Dunes State Park Nature Center. We will start in the auditorium.
After a short program, and meet-and-greet with a live Eastern Screech Owl with Humane Indiana Wildlife, families will learn step by step instructions to build their very own Eastern Screech Owl box. All box supplies, including hardware are included, but participants are encouraged to bring their own hammer and drill if available.
Registration
Registration is required and limited to 10 screech owl boxes. All box supplies, including hardware are included.
Accessibility
The Dunes State Park Nature Center is ADA accessible, including the bird observation room and auditorium.

Event tickets cost $50 per screech owl box kit. Additional take home kits are available for $40. Standard Indiana State Park entry fees are required for entry, and are $7 for Indiana residents, $12 for non-residents, and free with an annual entrance permit.
