Beginner's crochet is your first step on your learn-to-crochet journey. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or for anyone who has crocheted in the past and forgotten the basics.By the end of the workshop you will
• Understand how hook size, tension and yarn affects your finished piece
• Cast a foundation chain
• Complete a row of stitches
• Learn how to turn your work
• Skill/time permitting complete a row of treble crochet
• Either take your work home to finish or learn how ‘cast off’.
Next step
Once you have completed the beginner workshop and practised your skills you will be ready to move onto the Level 2 workshop where you will learn how to make a granny square.
Resources
• 4 or 5mm crochet hook
• Light coloured DK acrylic yarn.
