The Scottsdale Gallery Association (SGA) and its member galleries are ringing in 2026 with their first Gold Palette Artwalk of the new year. On Thursday, Jan. 29 from 6 to 9 p.m., the SGA presents its Western Week-themed event, which takes place throughout the Scottsdale Arts District and within participating member galleries.

“Our partnership with the city of Scottsdale is important to us and we enjoy aligning many of our Gold Palette ArtWalks throughout the year with citywide events such as Western Week,” said SGA President Jinger Richardson. “During this event, our member galleries and local artists showcase works that pay homage to our Western heritage, the stunning landscape of the West and cowboy culture and we are thrilled to support them and Western Week overall.”

The Western Week Gold Palette ArtWalk takes place throughout the Scottsdale Arts District — along Main St. from Scottsdale Rd. to Goldwater Blvd. and north of Indian School Rd. on Marshall Way to 5th Ave. — and within member galleries. Guests can enjoy live entertainment by Pandy and The Boys, who will perform a variety of country music, both new and old, during the event. In addition, the following SGA members will be hosting events of their own within their galleries:

Altamira Fine Art

7038 E. Main St.

Altamira Fine Art presents an exhibition titled “Full Spectrum,” featuring the works of artist Jivan Lee.

Bonner David Galleries

7040 E. Main St.

Bonner David Galleries is proud to highlight acclaimed contemporary artist Jens Lorenzen as part of its upcoming “Modern West Roundup,” a special exhibition which opens on the night of the ArtWalk. Lorenzen’s newest works — “Elements minus 49,” “Elements minus 50” and “Elements minus 51” — continue his compelling exploration of American cultural memory, historical symbolism and the layered narratives that shape the identity of the West. The exhibit also includes works by Robert LaDuke, Francis Livingston, Gabriele Rewis, Claudia Hartley, Brad Aldridge, Romona Youngquist and Gary Ernest Smith.

King Galleries

7077 E. Main St., #20

During the event, the gallery is pleased to present the exhibition “Time and Place,” featuring new works in clay by Jason Garcia (Santa Clara) and Jeff Suina (Cochiti).

Legacy Gallery

7178 E. Main St.

During the Artwalk, guests can enjoy watching featured artist Scott Rogers as he does live sculpting demonstrations at the Legacy Gallery.

The Marshall Gallery

7106 E. Main St.

Art enthusiasts are invited to the gallery to celebrate the bold vision and enduring spirit of Western art through the new “Trailblazers of the West” exhibition featuring the works of artists Angie Haskell, Dale Terbush, Terry Graves and Tyler Swain. This exhibition brings together a dynamic group of artists who reimagine the American West through their own distinctive lens, from sweeping landscapes and rugged textures to modern interpretations of heritage, culture and frontier resilience. These bold visions of the American West honor tradition while pushing the boundaries of style, story and perspective. The gallery will be hosting an artist meet and greet with these four artists during the Artwalk.

On the Edge Gallery

7045 E. Main St.

During the ArtWalk, On the Edge Gallery is pleased to highlight the work of three featured artists — Sally Borg, Ellen MacEwan and Joel Stevenson. Borg uses tools, shovels and metal pieces to make whimsical sculptures, bringing new life to discarded metal and aiming to make people smile through her art. MacEwan’s paintings are characterized by fluid abstraction, controlled line work and expressive marks and frequently feature equine, avian and botanical motifs. Stevenson is inspired by the many twists and turns of everyday life and his works reflect his vision of this energy, movement and beauty reflected in the dances through daily dilemmas.

The Signature Gallery

7177 E. Main St.

Guests are invited to join The Signature Gallery for a special reception celebrating the bold and vibrant works of contemporary Western artist Ray Tigerman. Guests will have an exclusive opportunity to meet the artist in person, enjoy complimentary appetizers and wine, and experience live music among the Western Week festivities.

Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West

3830 N. Marshal Way

On the evening of the ArtWalk, Western Spirit is offering free museum admission to Scottsdale residents from 5 to 8 p.m. and debuting the new exhibit “Still in the Saddle: A New History of the Hollywood Western.” That afternoon at 2 p.m., the museum will present a screening of the Western spoof “Blazing Saddles.” See the museum website for additional Western Week events throughout the week.

Wilde Meyer Gallery

4142 N. Marshall Way

Throughout the entire month of January, Wilde Meyer Gallery showcases “Our Electric West,” a collection of Western art in a variety of styles and media. The gallery will host a reception during the Western Week-themed Gold Palette ArtWalk featuring light refreshments.

Held nearly every Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. in partnership with the city of Scottsdale, the Scottsdale Gallery Association’s weekly ArtWalk highlights the finest art in Scottsdale, featured throughout more than 30 galleries and two museums: Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West.

In addition, the SGA’s Gold Palette ArtWalks, with multiple events throughout the year, feature extended hours, a dedicated theme which often aligns with citywide events, and specialty activities including entertainment, refreshments, demonstrations and more.
