We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for students to participate in a Scottish fiddlingworkshop with Melinda Crawford Perttu. This workshop is open to any string students with a playing level
of 3 and above. Students will learn about traditional Scottish music and techniques. Featured in this
event will be the following:
• Introduction to Traditional Scottish ornamentation
• Standard Technique
• Historical perspectives
• Demonstration and Discussion
• Applying and practicing the Technique

Workshop Details
• Date: March 14th, 2025
• Time: 4:30pm to 6:00pm
• Location: First United Methodist Church in Warren PA
• Cost: $10.00
• Eligibility: Students must be at level 3 or above to apply
• Payment due by March 1st, 2025
• Students should plan to arrive fifteen minutes early to tune their instruments
• Parents are welcome to attend
