About this Event
This is a wool felting group that combines traditional Scottish wool craft with exploration of the work of Scottish colourist, Samuel Peploe. We will be working from colourist imagery to create a needlefelted wool painting. We will look to recreate a still life, namely 'Tulips - The Blue Jug' .
This will be a small group of 12. We will be making individual pieces of roughly A5 size. You will have a completed piece at the end of the group, which hopefully you will hang with great pride on your wall at home!
The group will be held in the Council Chambers room, first floor of the Penicuik Town Hall. Please bring a mug for a hot drink, we will have a tea urn with tetley tea bags and semi skimmed cows milk provided, please bring an alternative if required. There is a lift available should you require assistance. Parking is available at the B&M carkpark, but must be paid for, as max stay is 3hrs without charge and they are pretty strict with that 3 hr window. Parking available free opposite the Navaar Hotel, which is a little further away.
