On Saturday, March 15, the Scott Wendholt/Adam Kolker Quartet, a group of talented jazz virtuosos headed by trumpeter Scott Wendholt and saxophonist Adam Kolker will make an eagerly awaited debut at Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT)’s Music in the Box Series. Wendholt and Kolker are both regulars in the Village Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. Wendholt and Kolker will be joined at this performance by Ugonna Okegwo on bass and Andy Watson on drums. The performance will be held at WCT’s black box performance space, 23 Water St. in Ossining.
Scott Wendholt is an articulate, passionate and lyrical trumpeter who approaches music with energy and spirit. He communicates to audiences with sincerity and ease. He has recorded and/or worked with a broad group of artists including Kenny Garrett, Cyrus Chestnut, Christian McBride, Don Braden and Bruce Barth. Scott found a home for nearly seven years with Vincent Herring’s quintet. This highly acclaimed band recorded three albums including Folklore-Live at The Village Vanguard. He has toured extensively throughout the world with these bands as well as others.
Adam Kolker is a multi-talented performer, composer and arranger. He performed and recorded with Latin-jazz artist Ray Barretto from 1994 through 2002 (with whom he received two Grammy nominations). He also appears in New York City with groups including the Village Vanguard Orchestra, Fred Hersch's "My Coma Dreams," the Maria Schneider Orchestra, Bruce Barth, Judi Silvano, Lucia Pulido, and his own groups with John Abercombie and Billy Hart.

Westchester Collaborative Theater is a multicultural, cooperative theater company located in Ossining, NY, dedicated to developing new work for the stage and bringing live theater to the community.
