Scott Mulvahill and Friends present a tribute to the iconic recordings of Paul Simon's Graceland and Prince's Purple Rain.
Paul Simon’s Graceland is a classic, both for what a beautiful and fun record it is, and for what a strange record it is. Combining South African rhythms and musicians with Zydeco beats, futuristic (at the time) tools like the drum machine, and songs that could only come from a master like Paul Simon, there’s nothing like it besides all the music it directly inspired.
My friends and I are certainly some of the many Graceland-inspired musicians and we play this music with love, appreciation, and a little trepidation and a LOT of fun.
Then we finish off the night with a tribute to Prince's iconic Purple Rain album! Experience an unforgettable evening as Scott and friends bring their unique blend of soulful music and heartfelt performance to celebrate the legendary album that defined a generation. From the soaring ballads to the electric anthems, this live tribute will capture the magic and emotion of Prince's timeless masterpiece.
