Hometown pals, this one's been a long time coming, but it's almost here! Troubadourly Yours will be officially released in late September, but we're bringing it out early for the local crowd — Wednesday August 27th at the Roxy Theatre, in the good musical company of Elliot Thomas, Miles Zurawell, Joe Nolan and more. Doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7 sharp. Pamela and I are flying to the UK afterward, and I won't be back til next summer, so we'd sure love to catch you on our way out. Tickets are $20 through the link, grab a seat if you want on the ride ❤️

Scott Cook was born in West Virginia, grew up around Western Canada, earned a Philosophy degree in Edmonton and spent six years teaching kindergarten in Taiwan before setting out on the road full-time in 2007. He’s made his living as a troubadour ever since, touring almost incessantly across Canada, the US, Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere, while distilling his experiences into seven albums of plainspoken, keenly observant verse. His 2020 collection Tangle of Souls came packaged in a cloth-bound, 240-page hardcover book of road stories and ruminations. The album spent two weeks at #1 on CKUA and earned Scott his third Canadian Folk Music Award nomination, for English Songwriter of the Year. Its second single "Say Can You See" was the second most-played song of the year on Folk Alliance International's folk radio charts, and took top honours for the folk category in both the 2020 UK Songwriting Competition and the 2020 Great American Song Contest. Since 2022 he’s been touring steadily with his sweetheart Pamela Mae on upright bass, banjo and vocals, counting off 45 states, 8 provinces and a big chunk of Australia. In the fall of 2025 they're releasing Scott's eighth album Troubadourly Yours in another hardcover book of liner notes, equal parts memoir and manifesto, with tours of Europe, Australia and New Zealand to follow. Fresh from the open road, these are sturdy, straight-talking songs that see the good in you.
