About this Event

Now in its nineth year, the 2025 edition of Scotland’s Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Conference will be held on Thursday 2nd October in central Edinburgh. The conference is a face to face event being held at its regular venue - The Edinburgh Training and Conference Centre - and is aimed at those involved in Scottish EIA practice.

The 120+ conference will hear presentations from leaders in the field exploring the latest guidance from Government and practice. The day's plenaries and workshops will ensure engagement across the borad range of attendees that include: developers; central Government; statutory bodies; consultants; academics; NGOs; local authorities and environmental topic specialists. The agenda will include coverage of cumualtive effects, proportionate EIA - including successes from practice, and discussion of the implications of case law.
