Yes, it's back for a second year!
The Bus & Coach Society of Victoria are excited announce that the 2026 Scoresby Classic Bus Display will be held on Sunday 22nd February at the National Steam Centre, 1200 Ferntree Gully Rd, Scoresby.
The event will run from 11am (public gates open) until 4pm.
Expect dozens of preserved buses and coaches set among the picturesque steam museum grounds, with an opportunity to explore the many exhibits of the National Steam Museum, with the date coinciding with their monthly active running day. The miniature railway will also be operating.
There will be opportunities throughout the day for participants to ride some of the vehicles on display.
For lunch, food truck vendors will be organised by the National Steam Centre.
This event will be held bi-annually moving forward so don't miss the bus - your next chance will be in 2028!
COST
No entry fee to National Steam Centre - but there is a donation box.
SHUTTLE BUS
A shuttle bus will depart Glen Waverley Station (Bay 10, 753 bay) throughout the day. A gold coin donation applies, which will cover fuel costs.

DISPLAYING A BUS or COACH
We warmly encourage owners of preserved and current vehicles to come along on the day - either operators or those BCSV members with privately owned buses.
To facilitate planning could those intending to attend with a bus please notify BCSV restoration officer Steve Bayer of your intention to participate. Email [email protected]
Steve is keen to hear from owners willing to operate external joyride shuttles (20 min circuit) or provide transfers from Glen Waverley.
For attendees, we will confirm vehicles providing these rides in the week of the event. Gold coin donations will be collected onboard rides to cover fuel costs.
Previous advice from Transport Safety Victoria is that the general public may travel on vehicles on heritage plates if operating on a donation/not-for-hire basis.
