The Museum Society of Ocean City is pleased to announce a special five-week video series featuring Scorchy’s Corner: Wandering Our Delmarvalous Land, a beloved local television program originally broadcast on WBOC-TV during the 1980s and early 1990s. Preserved in the Ocean City Museum Society archives, these rarely seen episodes are being brought out of the vault for a limited-time.
Beginning Wednesday, February 4, and continuing each Wednesday through March 4, the Museum of Ocean City will present one hour-long episode per week on the museum’s “big screen”. The screenings begin at 2:00 p.m., offering audiences a nostalgic journey across Delmarva as captured through the lens of host Scorchy Tawes.
Each episode showcases the people, places, and character of Delmarva during a transformative era, highlighting regional history, culture, and everyday life from decades past. Longtime residents and newcomers alike will enjoy this unique opportunity to experience Delmarva as it once was.
The event is free for Museum Society of Ocean City members and $5 for non-members. Seating is limited, and attendees are encouraged to pre-register and arrive early.
