About this Event

Time 10:00-11:00am

Scooter session suitable for children aged 5-9.

If you are a curious about using your scooter on the skatepark ramps, this is the session for you. Designed for ages (5-9) to conquer the skatepark with confidence. We will have coaches on hand to guide you through the basics, helping you to build your confidence and helping you carve your own path in the scooting world.

This project is led by experienced coach Frank, with support from other coaches, and is made possible thanks to funding from the South Kerrier Alliance CIC and the National Lottery Awards for All.

You will get a thorough, safe introduction to scooting if it's your first time; or we'll work with you to help you progress if you've scooted before.

Reserve a ticket to secure your space, you will need to bring your own scooter, if you have your own equipment, please bring it along also, but not to worry if you don’t as we have helmets and pads.

All participants should arrive with appropriate footwear - which includes trainers, gym shoes or plimsolls. Please do not wear sandals (including crocs), flip-flops or other open-toed shoes, or shoes with raised heels or wedges.

All coaches are experienced, with DBS certificates and child safeguarding training.

This event is insured through South Kerrier Alliance CIC Community Group.

We will register all participants on arrival and take parents'/carers' contact details

The South Kerrier Alliance CIC is a Not-forProfit Organisation and has secured some funding from the National Lottery Awards for All.

We would love to continue to offer these workshops past the period of funding however we understand things are difficult for many people and we want to continue to make our skateboarding workshops as accessible as possible.

In order to continue to fund future scooter workshops we are offering three ticket prices and a free ticket option. Please book the ticket that reflects what you can afford right now. You won't be asked any questions and your ticket options won't be shared with anyone.

CANCELLATIONS

We know that sometimes life can be busy and plans can change, please make sure you let us know at least 48 hours in advance if you are unable to make a booked session. These sessions are always oversubscribed with a waiting list and unfortunately in the past when people have failed to attend with no notice we have had no time to offer these spaces to the children on the waiting list. Because of popularity of these workshops if you fail to give notice of a cancellation this will impact on future workshop bookings you may wish to make.
