Specialty ride this month, instead of our usual October Cemetery visit (we are still having another ride on October 4th, though, in addition to this one - see other events on our facebook page). Every year, the Long Beach Historical Society hosts their Cemetery Tour at Sunnyside Cemetery in Long Beach. This includes actors playing the parts of various people of interest who are buried at the cemetery (we meet at their grave[s]!!). Great to "see" and hear their stories told by "them".There is also a lot more info, as well as vendors and refreshments.
Caveat is that you have buy tickets for the event, whcih are $28. I will post the link to get tickets in the dicussion area for this event.
Please note, we are meeting at Torrance Crossroads at 11 AM (not our usual rides time), and leaving at 11:30 AM SHARP! No scenic route this time, as we'll want to get there pretty quickly to enjoy the Tour. Be sure to hit "GOING", if you are going to go. I went last year and it was very cool - the actors are really good and give some fun info you probably didn't know about a lot of early Long Beach's movers and shakers.
