Scolds Bridle - Sue Bousfield and Liz Walmisley. Met by chance over fifty years ago and became part of the resident group at Fleetwood Folk Club in the Queens Hotel. Within the first two years, they were regularly touring North West Folk venues and had appeared at the internationally renowned ,Sidmouth International Folklore Festival.They were runners up in the National. group competition in Edinburgh in 1984 and have since recorded six albums with the latest Timeless, released earlier this year. They have appeared at many of the top summer folk festivals including Whitby, Broadstairs Folk Week, Towersey, Banbury and our own Fylde Festival over thirty times!. They have recorded for BBCs Folk On Two and made over two thousand stage appearances.
In recent years they have become best known for their show ‘ We Are The Women Left On The Shore - a poignant but often humorous look at the lives of deep sea trawlermen’s wives.
