IQFSR Day 1- Newly Targeted Schools (Wednesday, December 4, 2024, 9:00-12:00)
In this half-day session, participants will develop a comprehensive understanding of a local needs assessment, found in the Illinois Quality Framework and Supporting Rubric (IQFSR). Participants will leave the with an understanding of what each of the seven standards and supporting indicators represent as well as what evidence appropriately addresses each performance level.
SIP Day 1: State Data Dive (Wednesday, December 11, 2024, 9:00-12:00)
This data rich session will focus on the key components of school improvement planning, including but not limited to data analysis, identifying trend data , and responsible versus accountable data. Additionally, teams will leave with a firm understanding of how each indicator is calculated from raw to final scores and how to address and prioritize multiple initiatives.
IQFSR Day 2- Newly Targeted Schools (Thursday, January 9, 2025, 12:30-3:30)
This half-day session will use evidence collected from Day 1 to support IQFSR ratings. Team members will participate in activities designed to promote building protocols, building consensus, and prioritization of opportunities for growth. These processes will support your district in accurately identifying your local needs and opportunities for growth in improving the school’s accountability status.
EL Day 1- Understanding Data and Best Practices for English Learners (Wednesday, January 29, 2025 8:15-11:15)
For comprehensive schools or those targeted for English Learners to analyze their current structure for EL
CWD Day 1- Understanding Data and Best Practices for Special Education (Wednesday, January 29, 2025 12:30-3:30)
For comprehensive schools or those targeted for Children with Disabilities to analyze their current structure for special education.
SIP Day 2: Local Data Dive- (Wednesday, February 19, 2025, 9:00-12:00)
This data rich session will focus on analyzing local data, including but not limited to data analysis, identifying trend data , and responsible versus accountable data. Teams will analyze local benchmark and chronic absenteeism data to determine trends and compare to state data.
Chronic Absenteeism Day 1- Understanding and Action Planning (Tuesday, February 25, 2025, 9:00-12:00)
In this session, the primary focus will be on comprehending the chronic absenteeism indicator and leveraging local data analysis to craft a strategic action plan aimed at boosting attendance practices.
Q & A Session with South Cook (Times TBD)
Join us at South Cook for a focused 1.5-hour Q&A session, where your leadership team can ask additional questions to understand their state and local data, empowering informed decision-making.
SIP Day 3: Root Cause Analysis & Priority Mapping -(Tuesday, March 18, 2025, 12:30-3:30)
This session will use all data to complete a root cause analysis and priority map strategies designed to provide equitable opportunities for all student groups.
Chronic Absenteeism Day 2- Understanding and Action Planning (Tuesday, April 8, 2025, 9:00-12:00)
In this session, the primary focus will be on establishing preventative interventions and leveraging local data analysis to continue to craft a strategic action plan aimed at boosting attendance practices.
SIP Day 4- SMART Goal & Action Planning (Wednesday, April 30, 2025, 9:00-12:00)
In this session, participants will complete in its entirety, SCISC’s School Improvement Handbook. Complete with the information garnered from the previous days, building level leadership will complete 2-3 SMART goals, designed to address performance gaps amongst student groups.
EL Day 2- Tailoring your Action Plan (Wednesday, May 22, 2025, 8:15-11:15)
This session will focus on data collect and will be used to create an action plan to further support your english learner student group.
CWD Day 2- Tailoring your Action Plan (Wednesday, May 22, 2025, 12:30-3:30)
This session will focus on data collect and will be used to create an action plan to further support your children with disabilities student group.
Final Session with South Cook (Times TBD)
This session will include a final viewing of your School Improvement Plan by SCISC staff before submission to ISBE.
