Launch of the Sciences Po DC Transatlantic Forum
About this Event

The Sciences Po Transatlantic Forum, initially scheduled on Oct 30th, will now take place on Tuesday November 28th at the French Ambassador's Residence in DC.

Our keynote speaker, Camille François will discuss Disinformation & Cybersecurity ahead of the 2024 elections (Taiwan, India, the EU and the US)

We will also take the opportunity to honor Camille François (‘11) with the 2023 US Sciences Po Alumni Award. Camille is one of the foremost researchers in digital disinformation and cyber security, recognized both here in the U.S. and in France.

Please join us to enjoy the evening and conversation with fellow Sciences Po alumni and Francophiles in D.C.

Camille François is a researcher working on digital disinformation and cyber security. Some of her research focused on individual accounts from people working for troll farms such as the Internet Research Agency, and she provided testimonies on Russian electoral influence operations for the United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. She currently serves as the Global Director for Trust & Safety at Niantic, a leading Augmented Reality company. She was previously the chief innovation officer at Graphika, a company providing insights on social media landscapes, tracking how states are using social media for disinformation and misinformation. Prior to joining Graphika, she worked at Jigsaw, a unit within Google dedicated to exploring threats to open societies. She is a Fulbright fellow and served as the special advisor to the CTO of France within the prime minister's office.

Most recently, on July 13th, Camille was named by President Emmanuel Macron to the Etats généraux de l’information independent steering committee. The committee will launch in September, to “fight against all attempts at interference and give journalists the best framework to fulfill their mission”. She will be one of five members of this prestigious committee to examine the legal framework of journalism in France.

Camille holds a bachelor’s and master's degree in International Public Management from Sciences Po and a master's degree in International Security from Columbia University.

She was featured as a Time 100 Next fellow in 2019 and as an innovator under 35 by theTechnology Review.
