About this Event

Celebrate Science Week in this STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths) activity where participants will learn about circuits and basic electronics and create a game where survival of the fittest takes on a whole new meaning.

No experience with electronics is required in this workshop for everyone from beginners to seasoned circuitry creators.

About the facilitator:

Albert Ong is the founder of Tinkery, an edTech social startup aiming to make hands on learning accessible through creative prototyping kits and courses.

Albert has over a decade of experience as a hybrid mechatronics engineer, biotechnologist and interaction designer, and has worked on a range of industry and research projects ranging from art installations at Vivid Sydney, rehabilitative games and exoskeletons, bioreactors, drones, makerspaces, industrial robots, facility management systems, green architecture, and speculative and futures design projects.

  • No refunds for cancellations or missed bookings.
  • For participants under the age of 16, parents and/or guardians of children must remain in the library for the duration of the program.
  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.
  • If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces, repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations may result in bookings being refused in the future.
