July 7 | Conservation Chronicles: Our Conservation team will uncover fascinating breeding programs for Florida grasshopper sparrows, Perdido Key beach mice, frosted flatwoods salamanders, and more. Meanwhile, our Restore Our Shores team will reveal the science behind innovative, eco-friendly solutions for water quality improvement, habitat protection, biodiversity expansion, and boosting resilience against storm damage and erosion. Don’t miss out on behind-the-scenes photos, captivating videos, and lively chats!
July 14 | Commissary Chats: Get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look and meet the amazing team dedicated to animal diets and nutrition! Our Commissary Manager, along with staff and volunteers, feed over 900 animals from more than 190 species every day. Discover how a proper diet is crucial to each resident’s well-being, as the team masterfully balances nutrients, vitamins, and fluids uniquely tailored to each animal. They truly have it down to a science! Join us for special live demonstrations at 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 1:00 p.m., where you can see how our team creates fun enrichments for the animals! You’ll also have the chance to participate and make your own enriching creations. Don’t miss this unique, hands-on experience!
