Bugs, costumes, candy, stories, crafts, oh my!Spooky season is almost upon us! On October 19th from 1pm-2:30pm, at PAROC, learn all about "creepy" insects and arachnids from around our world. This family-friendly event will entail live animal interactions and many displays of famous creepy crawlies. The David Traylor Zoo of Emporia will be present as long as many preserved specimens from Emporia State University.
Additionally, take part in fun insect arts and crafts and take a trick-or-treat story walk along our paved trail through Campus Prairie! Bring a bucket and collect some candy! The Storywalk is provided by the Emporia Public Library. Lastly, it's Halloween, so wear your best costume!
A costume contest will take place at the end of the event, with a prize for our winners!
