Our second event of the fall has been moved to Monday, November 10th, from 6–8 p.m. at Keg Grove. This time, we will have two presenters. Elliott Notrica, an entrepreneur and biology student at Illinois Wesleyan, will talk about "Eating Mold: Food Systems Transformation Through Fungi." Our second speaker is Nina Ford from the Mennonite College of Nursing, who will present a "Falls Risk Pilot Study: Keeping Our Elderly Safe."Between each speaker will be a 5–10 minute break when you can purchase beverages, use the restroom, and answer fun trivia questions that pair with the talks. At the end of the night, there will be a large Q&A session where you can ask any science question you want to any scientists in the room, followed by a raffle for anyone who filled out the trivia to have a chance at winning some fun science-related prizes.
You are encouraged to bring food or have it delivered if you'd like to eat during the presentations, and don’t worry about arriving a little late.
Hope to see you there!
