Joe Taylor is the resident rock nerd and manager of the Door County Museum and Archives. While he loves all things crusty, dusty and old, he has a special place in his heart for the fossils of the fascinating creatures—especially cephalopods—that once flourished in the warm, shallow seas that formed the Niagara Escarpment over 400 million years ago. Join us as he explores the early origins of the rocks beneath our feet and showcases a few of his favorite fossils from the museum’s collection.
