Join us for Science on Tap at Free State Brewing Company with Sarah Lamm, a 4th-year PhD candidate in the Department of Geology at the University of Kansas.In this exciting talk, Sarah will share her incredible three-year journey with NASA’s Curiosity Rover Team, as well as her role as the crew geologist at the Mars Desert Research Station. With experience interning at both the Lunar and Planetary Institute and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory—where she utilized machine learning to classify spectra from iron minerals——Sarah has developed innovative techniques to enhance the identification of these minerals.
