SCIENCE ON SCREEN ® PRESENTS:
Why does aging occur? How do we optimize the process? We will explore the answers to these questions and discuss the latest research on interventions to promote healthy aging in humans.

35mm screening of The Fountain (2006) on Thursday, June 17th at 7:30 pm in the 1903 Theatre followed by an in-person presentation by the speaker.

If you purchase a ticket for this event, you are not required to stay for the talk following the screening of 'The Fountain' (2006).

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Dr. Sell received his undergraduate degree from Harper College at the University of Binghamton, NY and his PhD from the Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. Dr. Sell did his postdoctoral training at Temple University in Philadelphia and was appointed junior faculty at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson University. In 1994, he was appointed to the Faculty of the Medical College of Pennsylvania and subsequently moved to the Lankenau Medical Research Institute in Wynnewood, PA. In 2008, he moved to the Drexel University College of Medicine to join the faculty and become director of the Aging Initiative, a College-wide initiative to support research into the basic biology of aging.

A man (Hugh Jackman) travels through time on a quest for immortality and to save the woman (Rachel Weisz) he loves.
This is the only presentation of The Fountain (2006) and will be screened in 35 mm.
