Celebrate Women in STEM with Hidden Figures – A Free Film & Lecture Kickoff Event!
Science + Movies + Free Snacks?! Say less.
We’re launching our 2025 Science on Screen® film + lecture series this April — with the classic film, "Hidden Figures" (2016) and it's going to be a blast!
Join us on Thursday, April 10 at Connecticut State Community College at Housatonic for a special screening of the acclaimed 2016 film "Hidden Figures"—a powerful story that celebrates the brilliant Black women mathematicians who helped launch NASA into space.
The evening kicks off at 5:30 PM in the performing arts center with complimentary bites and refreshments in the lobby, followed by a dynamic panel discussion on women in STEM—past, present, and future at 6:00 PM. At 6:30 PM, settle in for the screening of "Hidden Figures", and experience the story that continues to inspire generations of changemakers.
This event is free and open to the public. Enjoy free parking, free entry, and a free unforgettable evening filled with insight, history, and heart.
Come for the film, stay for the movement. Let’s celebrate the trailblazers and empower the next generation.
This evening is an initiative of the Coolidge Corner Theater, with major support from the Alfred P. Sloane Foundation.
