About this Event
This workshop is aimed at helping Stage 2 teachers devise and deliver science experiments and technology activities safely in an age appropriate fashion. To overcome the online nature of this workshop, attendees will be sent a list of basic and readily available list of materials to obtain from around the school in order to be able to perform the innovative experiments and activities on the day. We will be conducting experiments and activities for:
- Living World
- Material World
- Physical World
- Earth & Space
- Digital Technologies
In the process, we will also consider the many aspects of Working Scientifically, including risk assessment practices.
Endorsement
Completing Science Experiments for Stage 2 Teachers on 12 November 2021 will contribute 4 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing 2.1.2 and 4.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
