About this Event
Get ready for April Fools Day and explore the science behind some of our favourite tricks! With demos and interactive experiments our pranksters will investigate gravity-defying objects, mysteriously moving artefacts and disappearing liquids. Make invisible ink from wax, UV or lemon juice and decipher secret codes. Use magnets to reveal our amazing coin illusion, and unravel and perform a magic rope trick to impress family and friends at home!
Suitable for ages 5-9 (accompanied by an adult)
Sessions:
10am - 11.30am
12.30pm - 2pm
3pm - 4.30pm

£15 per club ticket (includes Eventbrite booking fee. Admits one child and accompanying adult.
£5 additional adult/s ticket admittance to Science Club and outside areas / café. All attendees need a ticket, for under 3’s we recommend the Family day instead.

- Access to the woodland and outdoor areas from 10am–5pm (last entry 4.30pm)
- Parking (limited availability)

Event Details
All Saturday Club sessions must be accompanied by an adult. These family workshops are designed for you and your child to learn from each other and work together while trying out new things. Led by our expert club leaders with bespoke activities designed to provide science-inspired fun challenges. There is a different theme each week so we and you are always learning something new!

Science Oxford Centre Visitor Café
Emira's Kitchen café at the Science Oxford Centre is open on Saturdays from 10am-4pm, serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and rolls. Families are welcome to bring picnics to eat at our lunch tables.

Important notice: Centre works
Due to the ongoing site improvement works, you may notice some changes to the area immediately outside the centre and access to the woodland and trails. There are temporary diversions in place directing parking (please use all available bays). There is also limited 2-hour (and 3-hour) free parking available on Quarry Road. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete these necessary improvements.
