About this Event
๐ธ Thursdays, October 2 โ November 27, 7:00โ8:30 PM
Does your child dream of being on stage, rocking out with a band, and building confidence through music? Our School of Rock program is the perfect place for young musicians to take their passion to the next level.
Over nine weeks, kids ages 9โ16 will learn what it takes to perform as part of a real band. Guided by experienced instructors, participants will sharpen their skills on their instrument or vocals, collaborate with other musicians, and work together to prepare for a final showcase performance.
This program is designed for youth who already have some experience with one instrument (guitar, bass, drums, keys, etc.) or their vocals. Itโs all about teamwork, creativity, and the thrill of live performance.
โจ What to Expect Each Week:
- Week 1 (Oct 2): Meet the band! Icebreakers, jam session, and song selection
- Week 2 (Oct 9): Learning the basics of each chosen song; assigning parts
- Week 3 (Oct 16): Focused sectionals (vocals, rhythm, lead, percussion)
- Week 4 (Oct 23): Full band rehearsal & stage presence coaching
- Week 5 (Oct 30): Building confidence โ polishing transitions & harmonies
- Week 6 (Nov 6): Rehearsal with performance dynamics (intros, endings, crowd work)
- Week 7 (Nov 13): Mock performance; feedback and adjustments
