About this Event
Join leading scholars for this event to explore our history as Wesleyans, what we believe, and how we read scripture as people called to holiness of heart and life.
The School of Methodism is designed to equip the laity with the riches of our tradition. Participants will in three areas of our Wesleyan heritage:
- History – How did all of this start?
- Theology – What is the message of Methodism?
- Scripture – How do we approach the truth of Scripture?
We will dive into the riches of the Wesleyan movement and engage the question of what it means to be a Wesleyan, not only how we might think like Methodists but how we might live faithfully as disciples of Jesus Christ. The original mission of Methodism was “to reform the nation, particularly the Church, and the spread scriptural holiness over the land.” What does that look like today?
All presentations are aimed at a broad audience.
Our time together will include teaching and fellowship.
Please join us for this exciting event! Registration is $25 and includes lunch.
