We invite you to join us for this school holiday Create & Connect event with a whānau focus* which is on the topic of magical and mythical creations.
We are in the processes of building a mini magical village at Social Nexus headquarters as the Rodney Rocks project has recently seen some fairy doors added around the reserve alongside painted rocks. We would love to invite you to join us in some creation on the theme of Magic and make believe.
Create a creature out of bake clay, a magical pepi with some special egg shells we have prepared, a fairy house or doorway or something entirely unique! We have some pre cut wooden doors and windows to paint, bake clay on hand and many tools and tips and tricks our little artists are happy to share. We have some wood which can be the base of a magical house as well as all our resources and tools on hand to help bring whatever you might be dreaming up to life.
After some magical creating, we invite you and your whanau to paint some rocks and after we are done, we will take the short walk across the road to the playground at Kaipātiki Reserve. We can hide or hunt out painted rocks and have a play before heading home.
This school holidays program is for all ages, please note, we are not a drop off service. This is a space for you to step out of normal routine and have opportunities for mutual sites of fulfillment alongside our tamariki.
Our programs are neurospicy friendly, we plan for low demand and to avoid overwhelm (for all of us) and there is no pressure to complete things in a certain way or time. Any questions or queries, please don’t hesitate to ask.
