In this kids session your child/ren will use the pinch pot technique to make an animal of their choosing. We will then glaze and fire the piece for them, and they will be able to collect their piece 2 weeks later.
We will have two experienced potters facilitating the session and guiding your child/ren through the creative process. The emphasis will be on fun and creativity!
Included costs:
The price of $40 per child includes the firing and glazing of one finished piece per child. If they would like to make and keep any additional pieces, they can be paid for at $5 each.
Please bring:
Your child/ren may want to wear clothes they don't mind getting dirty, potting is a lot of fun and a little messy!
Drop off and Pick up:
You can drop off your child/ren between 9.45am and 10am. Potting will start at 10am sharp. You can pick up your child/ren between 12noon and 12.15pm. Parents are welcome to stay with their child/ren for the session too.
Collection of finished pieces:
It will take 2 weeks for us to bisque fire the pieces, glaze them with a durable shiny finish, and then high-fire them to seal them. All creations can be collected after 2 weeks time, within the hours of 9.30am - 4pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 1pm Saturdays.
Terms and conditions:
The Waikato Society of Potters (WSP) reserves the right to cancel a class if it fails to achieve minimum enrolment numbers, for reasons outside of our control. A full refund will be given if the class is cancelled by the WSP less a 5% credit card fee. If a student cancels their enrolment within 72 hours of the first class starting, no refund will be given.
