Scholar's Day at Johns Hopkins University 2025

Join NSHSS members, families, educators, and partners at Johns Hopkins University this summer for an educational conference! This event will feature several engaging sessions, a college and career fair, a member party, and countless networking opportunities. At Scholar's Day, you and your family will learn more about all of the benefits of your NSHSS membership, including $2.5 million in scholarship opportunities yearly, access to an extensive network of university, educational, corporate, and government partners, and of course, the lifetime network of fellow NSHSS members.

SCHOLAR'S DAY AT JOHNS HOPKINS

Seating is limited, so it is recommended that you register as soon as possible. Registration will close once we reach full capacity, at which point we will no longer accept registrations. We recommend securing your event tickets before you book your hotel or travel arrangements.

**Only those who register via Eventbrite will be admitted to the event.

RECOMMENDED HOTEL

NSHSS will secure a discounted room block at local JHU-recommended hotels in Baltimore. Check back soon for the booking links to be posted!

*Attendees are responsible for their own accommodations. A limited number of rooms are available; first come, first served. Please register for the event before booking any travel or accommodations.*

Please Note: All members, parents, and guests must purchase tickets to attend this event.

DRESS CODE: Business casual.

ATTENDEE SWAG: All Scholar's Day attending members will receive a bag with NSHSS-branded swag!

REFUND POLICY: If you are no longer able to attend, please email [email protected], and we can transfer your tickets to another NSHSS event currently available on Eventbrite. You can also transfer your registration to another event via your Eventbrite account until the day before the event date. On the day of the event and beyond, registration transfers are no longer allowed in the Eventbrite system, and transferring to another event will no longer be an option. Transferred tickets are non-refundable.

Up to 30 days before the event starts, attendees can request automatic refunds in full back to their original payment method directly through their Eventbrite account.

Refunds to the original payment method will be issued in full for refund requests received up to 15 days before the event starts. After submitting your refund request in writing by email to [email protected], please allow up to five (5) business days to process your refund request. After 14 days before the event starts, no refunds will be issued. All further sales are non-refundable.

This event will take place rain or shine. If the event is rescheduled, all purchases will be honored for the rescheduled event date or may be refunded on a case-by-case basis. If the event is canceled, all purchases will be refunded in full.

Info: Scholar’s Day at JHU 2025 will start with a welcome message from NSHSS President and Co-Founder Mr. James Lewis, followed by event announcements and opening sessions.

Info: Three educational session offerings hosted by NSHSS partners. Stay tuned for them to be announced!

Info: This year's theme is “The Future of Internships & Work.” Hear from multiple well-respected professionals about what they are looking for from the next-generation workforce and how to build essential skills to be prepared to make the transition from academic success to career achievement. Check back for all panelists to be announced!

Info: Sessions will break for attendees to enjoy lunch on their own at a local eatery. There are plenty nearby to choose from! Use this time to explore the JHU campus and network with exhibitors at the College & Career Fair!

Info: Hear from multiple NSHSS scholarship winners how they made their applications stand out from the rest of the applicant pool. Learn valuable tips on showcasing your academic and community accomplishments.

Info: Claes Nobel World Betterment Award, Educator grant, and scholarship recipients will be awarded!

Info: Members will hear congratulatory remarks and receive their NSHSS honor medallion for their academic achievements.

Info: Join your fellow NSHSS members for a casual welcome gathering featuring a DJ and games. Enjoy light refreshments, and take a moment to make some new connections!

Info: Following the MRC, students will attend their member party to make new friends, while parents and adult guests are invited to participate in a special parent session!
