In conjunction with ππ·π¦π³πΊπ΅π©πͺπ―π¨ ππΆπ΄π΅ ππ°: ππΆπ΄π΅πͺπ― ππ’π·π¦ππ’'π΄ πππ°πΈπ°πΆπ΅, πππ°π΄π¦π°πΆπ΅, ππ¦-ππ³π’π―π₯ ππ±π¦π―πͺπ―π¨ currently on exhibition in the Beren Gallery at the Ulrich Museum, Dr. Emmanuel Ortega from the University of Illinois-Chicago, will provide an art historical overview of artist Justin Favelaβs career, highlighting the key moments that led to the creation of the installation currently on display. As Favelaβs longtime friend and collaborator, Dr. Ortega brings a deep understanding of the artistβs work and offers unique insights into the hidden layers of meaning within Favelaβs paper-based sculptures and installations. This free event starts at 6 p.m. and takes place in McKnight Art Center, Room 210. Everyone is welcome.
