Schkeuditzer Kreuz, an Australian music project led by punk veteran Kieren Hills, is set to embark on their second European tour in September-October 2025 to support their third album, Swan Grinder. The band blends harsh, mechanical noise with raw, organic elements of hardcore and punk, described as “Industrial Synth Crust” or “D-beat Raw Synth Punk.” Kieren Hills creates this sound from a cabin in the Blue Mountains, drawing on a diverse musical background that started in New Zealand and expanded into Australia and Europe.Since 2020, Schkeuditzer Kreuz has released two albums and is in high demand worldwide as a live act, touring extensively across Europe, Asia, Australia, and the US. They have collaborated with acts like ATTRITION and DECIDE TODAY. The band has received critical acclaim from numerous music publications and is known for its intense and confrontational sound.
Kieren Hills has over 35 years of experience in the underground scene, with a history in various bands and influences ranging from punk to industrial and experimental electronic music. His musical journey was inspired by bands like Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, Laibach, and Ministry. The album Swan Grinder was mastered by Martin Bowes of ATTRITION and promises to be a powerful new chapter in the evolution of Schkeuditzer Kreuz.
