It’s time to open up the pit! Schema Collective presents Core to the Floor, a new series of shows featuring some of the most exciting up-and-coming local heavy acts who all have one thing in common - two step-worthy breakdowns. Each Core to the Floor experience will unite a lineup of breakout local hardcore, metalcore, deathcore and everything in between-core bands that are sure to keep the mosh pit surging from start to finish.
Core to the Floor Vol. 1 will see Brisbane-based prog metalcore outfit Aeon Nexus launch their debut single, joined by fellow Brisbane core acts Ocean Shores, Neuroticist and RVN/NT who are putting themselves firmly on the map in the local heavy scene.

AEON NEXUS
Brisbane-based progressive metalcore outfit Aeon Nexus melds futuristic djent grooves and raw metal aggression with ethereal pop sensibilities to create a sound that is impossible to define. The new vision of mainstay Brisbane metal frontwoman Sam Wolstenholme, Aeon Nexus delivers a complex, compelling sonic experience, shaping aural architecture through which we can glimpse the power of the present and the uncertainty of the future.
OCEAN SHORES
Ocean Shores are a mosh Metalcore/Hardcore band from the Southside of the river city. Having already amassed notable support slots for bands such as Sydney's Heists and Evergreen Terrace from Florida, USA, Ocean Shores are a name on the rise in Brisbane hardcore.
NEUROTICIST
Hailing from Brisbane, Australia, Neuroticist can be described as a combination of various styles, synthesised into a unique take on modern metal. In November 2023, the band released their debut single, ‘Under The Flood’, a captivating, punk-influenced mix of fast-paced rhythms and pungent lyrical content, and since then they have already shared the stage with the likes of Zuko and Virtues.
RVN/NT
RVN//NT are a 4-piece Australian Metalcore band from Brisbane, Australia. Since forming in 2023, they have already released a single and begun booking shows all over the country. The band offers a unique sound influenced by your favourite metalcore bands such as Polaris, Northlane and Currents. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses hard-hitting grooves and melodic harsh vocals with high energy, making you want to throw down and sing along all at the same time.
