Over the last three years, Arts & Education at the Hoyt has been telling scary tales while touring visitors through the dimly lit halls of the Alex Crawford Hoyt Period Home around Halloween. Each room was staged as a scene from the story featuring objects, sounds and smells that brought the dark stories to life. This October, each featured room will embrace original terrors written by local authors in response to the Hoyt’s 1st Annual Scary Tales Writing Competition.
These stories, narrated by the Hoyt’s tour guides, will inspire fear, excitement, and will leave you with the season’s spirit. Registration is required.
October 23-25, with tours every half hour starting at 6:30 pm. $10 per person.
