Scarda è il diminutivo di un cognome: Scardamaglio Domenico, detto Nico, classe '86, calabrese di lunga adozione, nato a Napoli ma attualmente stabile a Roma. I primi esordi musicali avvengono nel 2012 con delle canzoni registrate alla buona, voce e chitarra, messe su YouTube, che creano subito passaparola e che nel giro di alcuni mesi gli danno l'opportunità di scrivere una canzone per la colonna sonora del film Smetto Quando Voglio per il quale riceverà una candidatura ai David di Donatello. Solo nel Dicembre 2014 avviene il vero e proprio esordio discografico: I piedi sul Cruscotto, album di puro cantautorato che fa parlare di sè, che coinvolge sempre più ascoltatori col passare dei mesi e dei tanti concerti in giro per il paese. Sarà però con il secondo album Tormentone pubblicato nell'Ottobre 2018 che il pubblico si allarga considerevolmente, con canzoni che diventano virali e un tour a supporto che affolla sempre di più i live club italiani registrando svariati soldout. Dopo un periodo di stop causa pandemia Covid esce nel Giugno 2021 Bomboniere , un album molto più pop del precedente a cui segue club tour di successo e festival in tutta Italia registrando ottimi numeri. Dopo un periodo di stop inizia un nuovo percorso con i singoli Una cosa importante, Paolo e Francesco e Cicatrice.

Scarda is the diminutive of a surname: Scardamaglio Domenico, aka Nico, class of ‘86, Calabrian by long adoption, born in Naples but currently based in Rome. Scarda's first musical debut took place in 2012 with a few songs recorded on YouTube, voice and guitar, which immediately created word of mouth and which, within a few months, gave him the opportunity to write a song for the soundtrack of the film Smetto Quando Voglio, for which he received a nomination for the David di Donatello award. It was only in December 2014 that the real record debut took place: I piedi sul Cruscotto (Feet on the Dashboard), an album of pure singer-songwriting that gets more and more listeners talking as the months go by and the many concerts around the country. However, it will be with the second album Tormentone released in October 2018 that the audience expands considerably, with songs that go viral and a supporting tour that crowds more and more Italian live clubs recording several soldouts. After a period of stop due to the Covid pandemic, Bomboniere was released in June 2021, a much more pop album than the previous one, which was followed by a successful club tour and festivals throughout Italy, recording excellent numbers. After a period of stop, a new path begins with the singles Una cosa importante, Paolo e Francesco and Cicatrice.
