About this Event
Learn about when the reservoir was built or come and meet likeminded people.
The walk is roughly 4 miles in total with rough, uneven tracks, tarmac roads and moorland paths. There are some steep climbs so study footwear is essential. Also, please wear appropriate clothing, the weather can change drastically out there due to it’s remoteness.
Directions to get to the car park
· Head to Lofthouse on the outskirts of Pateley Bridge (you will drive alongside a long reservoir called Gouthwaite on your right hand side)
· Once you are through Lofthouse, turn right where you see a Yorkshire Water sign for Scar House
· From there, it is 4 miles up the track to make it up to the car park which will add an extra 10 mins onto the journey

Just to add, there is no mobile signal once you head up the access track.
We will be setting off on the walk for 10:30am. One of us will wear a hi viz jacket so we can be seen if you are late. The reason for this is because there is no signal, we can’t contact people to see where they are.
We will contact everyone the day before if we do have to cancel due to the weather or unforeseen circumstances.
