Come celebrate Lucia with us in St. James Episcopal Church. After the Lucia procession, we will serve Lucia Fika (refreshments) while listening to Scandinavian Christmas music and watch the Nordic Dancers perform. Santa will visit and we will dance around the tree to live music. There will be Scandinavian items to view, we will sell hotdogs and Swedish waffles, and crafts will be available for the children to make.

We will celebrate the festival of lights honoring St. Lucia which is an important cultural event in Norway, Sweden and Swedish speaking Finland. The candle crowned Lucia wears a long white gown with a beautiful red sash as she leads a train of girls and star boys, all in white, singing Sankta Lucia and all our beloved Christmas songs.
